❌ Exclusions Policy, DPR Bloxflow School
At DPR Bloxflow, we aim to create an inclusive learning community where every student has the chance to grow. Exclusion is a last resort. It occurs only when a student's behaviour threatens the safety, well-being, or learning of others.
When Exclusion May Occur:
- Persistent disruption to learning environments despite intervention
- Severe breaches of conduct, including misuse of digital tools or impersonation
- Violations of safeguarding protocols, confidentiality, or data protection laws
- Behaviour deemed unlawful under the Computer Misuse Act or internal rules
Types of Exclusion:
- Fixed-Term Exclusion, a temporary removal with conditions for return
- Permanent Exclusion, issued only after a thorough investigation and review
- Internal Suspension, a monitored time-out within school grounds or virtual space
Review & Appeals:
All exclusions are documented and reviewed by the Ministry of Learner Conduct. Students have the right to request a meeting or submit an appeal. Re-entry plans may include restorative learning, digital ethics training, or citizenship workshops.
Support & Transparency
Even when exclusion is necessary, we commit to treating every learner with dignity and respect. We provide:
- Support plans for reintegration
- Clear communication throughout the process
- Opportunities for reflection, growth, and resolution
At DPR Bloxflow, exclusion is not about punishment. It focuses on protecting the community, promoting accountability, and ensuring our environment remains safe, respectful, and united.
